Sterling Johnson
An advocate for after-school programming, education outreach, sustainable development & youth development. I strive in my work to provide safe learning spaces for youth to explore themselves and create their academic journeys. I believe that there are many inequitable disparities within education that strategically can be filled by providing high quality after school programming to youth. I coordinate the REFUGES after school program at the University of Utah that primarily serves refugee and immigrant youth by providing them with STEM programming and college & career readiness. My goal is that each and every student has the opportunity to be successful and that any future is obtainable to them. Steve Jobs once said, "The only way to do good work is to do what you love" and I LOVE working as an after-school Advocate and Educator.
